Gotlandssnus Julesnus Review

Posted by James in Snus reviews

After missing  the opportunity to try Julesnus last year, I went ahead and decided to order some this year to see what I’ve been missing out on. Manufactured by Gotlandssnus, Julesnus is available only for a limited time every winter (usually starting in November) until Christmas.

Julesnus, a Christmas special

Taste:

Before putting a portion in my mouth, I noticed a cinnamon aroma which smelled delicious. Once I put a portion in, I immediately noticed a dominant cinnamon flavor, with subtle hints of gingerbread and mulled wine. I didn’t find the cinnamon taste to be overpowering, and I found the other flavors to compliment the cinnamon taste. I also found the flavor to last quite a long time, however the taste became increasingly subtle as time went on. Julesnus is an average strength snus with 8mg of nicotine per portion of snus.

Julesnus

Portion:

The portions are similar to those of Gotlandssnus Green, and are quite comfortable. I experienced very little drip, and was able to keep a portion in for around an hour. However, I think the slim portion design used by General Long would be even more comfortable to use.

Conclusion:

Julesnus is a great tasting cinnamon dominant snus. Although I wouldn’t use it as a go to snus, its great to use in the daily rotation in order to mix things up a little (the cinnamon and gingerbread taste is great for after meals!). Like eggnog, I wish Julesnus was available all year round. I strongly suggest giving Julesnus a try, and if you enjoy it, be sure to stock up before its gone!
