Offroad Cranberry Portion

Manufactured by V2 Tobacco (the makers of Thunder Mini) , the Offroad line of snus is aimed at snus users who are looking for a perfect balance between quality and cost. Launched in 2006, the Offroad brand is marketed as being “… a strong “Value for money” snus!”

Taste

Upon putting a portion of Offroad Cranberry in, I noticed a slight hint of cranberry along with a subtle tobacco flavor. One thing that can be noted about Offroad Cranberry is that it doesn’t taste nearly as strong as Skruf Cranberry snus, however the cranberry flavor is more sweet, rather than tart (Skruf Craberry is much more tart). Offroad Cranberry has a nicotine content of 8mg per portion, putting it at an average nicotine level. The smell of Offroad Cranberry doesn’t smell as strongly of ammonia as most other brands of snus do (when fresh), but it was still quite fresh.

Portion

The Offroad portions are nothing special, and I find them to be a little odd fitting in my mouth (the portion tends to require me to constantly push it in place with my tongue). However, the material is comfortable, and I have been able to keep portions of Offroad Cranberry in my lip for up to two hours before I stop using it. During this time the flavor remains constant and it doesn’t drip very much.

Conclusion

Overall, Offroad Cranberry really surprised me. When I bought my can, I expected it to be a budget snus to be of sub-par quality compared to the more premium brands. However, once I began to use Offroad, I became quite impressed. At snuscental, I was able to order a can for $1.98, making it markedly cheaper than other brands such as General Snus, which cost $3.48 at the time of writing. I will definitely be ordering more varieties of Offroad to try, and even plan on picking up a few more cans of cranberry!
