Offroad Long Cut Red Blend

Offroad Long Cut Red Blend is a a limited edition snus manufactured by V2 Tobacco of Silkeborg, Denmark. Created with American tastes in mind, Red Blend is a loose snus that is cut rather than ground up, making it look much more like American Dipping Tobacco rather than snus. Berry Blend is part of the Offroad Long Cut collection, which also includes Long Cut Apple and Long Cut Orange.

Unlike most brands of snus, the tobacco used to make Offroad Long Cut is shredded rather than ground up, and upon opening the can, the snus inside reminded me of what Skoal Long Cut looked like when I tried dip tobacco. Because it is a long cut, I decided the place the snus in my lower lip (rather than upper lip like most brands of snus). The experience reminded me very much of dip, except with two major differences. The first is that unlike dip, Offroad Berry Blend didn’t make me salivate too much, and since snus is spitless I didn’t have to spit at all. Secondly, the health effects of snus make it much safer than dip, which means that I don’t need to worry about running the risk of getting oral cancer.

Taste

Upon putting a pinch of Red Blend in my lip, I quickly noticed the sweet taste of strawberry, with hints of cranberry and cherry. The taste is very smooth and quite sweet, with only a small amount of salt. The smell of the snus was also nice, and the Red Blend can had a strong aroma of berries. Offroad Long Cut Red Blend has 8mg of nicotine per one gram of tobacco, making it standard strength for a loose snus. I was able to leave Offroad Long cut in for about 45 minutes before I took it out, and at that point the flavor was still going pretty strong.

In conclusion, Offroad Long Cut Red Blend is a quality offering great for those looking to make the transition from American dipping tobacco to snus. I also recommend it to those who prefer to lower lip loose snus and to those are looking to mix things up a little.
