Roda Lacket White Snus review

Posted by James in Snus reviews

Today I decided to review a totally different Snus than what I am used to, Röda Lacket! Manufactured by Swedish Match, Röda Lacket was launched in 1850, making it the second oldest brand of Snus after Ettan. Today, it remains a very popular and tasty Swedish Snus brand, and has undergone many redesigns, including having a special run of 21 different lid designs in autumn of 2006!

Taste

Roda Lacket has a very unique and interesting taste. The taste resembles that of mild tobacco and dried fruit. Overall, it is an interesting taste, as Röda Lacket is the first fruit tasting Snus that I have had. Once thing that is interesting to note is that the dried fruit taste compliments rather than overpowers the tobacco taste of the Snus. Röda Lacket is categorized as a white portion Snus, and has a nicotine content of 8mg per portion.

My slightly damaged can of Röda Lacket!

Portion

The Röda Lacket portion is very comfortable, and appears to made out of a softer material than what I am normally used to. It also does not drip, so I can keep the portion in for long periods of time with little to no drip. Generally, I leave a portion in for about an hour before taking it out.

Conclusion

I’m not a huge fan of the taste of Röda Lacket, as I find it to be a little weak in terms of overall flavor, but if you are someone who likes a mild tobacco tasting Snus with undertones of fruit, then this is the Snus for you!
